Camo In The Pink Jungle

This was an extra fun outfit because, it was a total bonus, a cherry on the top, unexpected gift! I thought I had used all of this fabric up many many moons ago on a jumpsuit and a different jogger set. I was reorganizing my fabric back-stock and looking for this orange stretch denim I had some ideas for and stumbled across the pink camo! I had a good amount but, wasn’t sure I could get the hoodie and cuff joggers out of it. I was so excited I had to immediately start laying out the pattern pieces to see if everything would fit and I’ll be damned it did! I love when this happens it’s like finding money in an the cushions!

It really is the little things! So I was really in the orange denim ( which turned out really fun) sewing jam and hadn’t thought about what the vision was for this look. Sometimes I know immediately where I am going to shoot and other times I have no idea and see where the day takes me. This was one of those days I was thinking about doing something at a park but, wasn’t completely sold on the idea. I was getting glam ready and thought about a location that YES would be good. So we headed out and when I got there the garage door was open. It wasn’t the meat of the mural but, it cut down the amount of surface space I had to work with. I am not sure if it was broken or supposed to be open. I couldn’t find anyone in the building and couldn’t figure out how to close it myself. I pondered over whether or not I could make it work. I went with my gut and moved on.

We were on Mission Street near 15th street so, we ( Son and I ) decided to keep heading towards Market Street. Then it dawned on me that there was a mural I died for in that area near Zeitgeist I remembered I saw a while back. How perfect a neon jungle to go with my pink camouflage jogger set! Thank You spirit guides! You know it’s funny because, the whole morning was sort of full small delays and was wondering if I should reschedule the shoot and work on something else for the day. I am really glad I didn’t because it really ended up being the perfect mural and a fun late morning shoot in the warm sunshine.
