Poppable Pleasures

My sister made these ADORABLE cake pops and I had to share the recipe (she is a fabulous baker +  I am definitely going to be raiding her recipe box more frequently)!!  I mean how cute are these I need someone to have a birthday party so I have a reason to make them!!  They actually remind me of the dilly bars from the DQ which make me think of summer and being a kid ~ Oh the good ol days! I am so excited about seeing what other shapes I can make!

  • 1 box of your favorite cake mix (water, eggs and oil)
  • 1 container of ready made frosting
  • 2 packages of Candy Melts
  • Sprinkles
  • Miniature popsicle sticks
  • Baking sheet lined with wax paper

  • Make cake according to box + Let cool
  • Crumble into pieces in a mixing bowl
  • Mix frosting into cake mix
  • Form into balls using a spoon
  • Insert 1 popsicle stick into each ball
  • Put them in the freezer for about 10 -20min
  • Melt the Candy Melts according to package directions
  • Dip each cake pop into Candy Melts ~ Let the excess run off
  • Place the pop back on the wax paper until hardened
