Trust Yourself

This cute and comfy little number almost never came to be. I was on the last bit of the blush and was working on a short sleeve dolman crop top pattern. I was on the last bit of blush fabric and managed to work it. I was so excited about getting it out of the fabric and I start sewing but, notice something is off but, not blinding off so, I continue sewing. So weird why is the neckline so long?? Shit then it dawns on me I must of cut one the pieces out the wrong way.

Sure enough I reexamine yup there it is I put the grain line facing the wrong direction. The sleeve and the waist are so similar it was really hard to tell. I ended up cutting the new neckline maximizing the drape and viola still a cute top and saved the fabric! Sometimes mistakes are not fixable but, I find that most of them are you just have to be open to looking at it a different way!
