Movie Ticket For One
So many old movie theaters have closed over the past 10 years and it does make me a little sad. I mean you don’t go to them for the comfortable seats it’s the beautiful architecture and magic. I think the last theaters in the city are the Castro and 4 Star. Which hopefully will still be here when things reopen.
I actually stumbled across this one which is not a historic architectural gem but, reminded me of the dollar theater when I was a kid. I was so thankful for the one we had growing up because, I could always manage to scrounge up a dollar. They always played the movies that were done running in the big theaters and most people had seen but, I didn’t care. Movies were and still are one of my favorites ways to escape. If it is a film I love to watch them multiple times to take in all of the layers of storyline, costuming, and cinematography.
This is the last outfit from the Tiger Capsule and I was waiting for a warm day to shoot beings it was the Cheeky Buggers. I had this place in mind but, wasn’t sure if it was right for this outfit so, I went on a drive on the lookout for a spot that caught my eye. There were a few spots that stood out but, they were just not right so, I thought well I could swing by on my way back and see what happens. Thankfully when I pulled up it felt right. I usually don’t have a plan of how I am going to shoot to look. I really like to let everything unfold as I shoot.
