I Got Sunshine In My Pocket

If I were headed o sporting event this would be my outfit. This t shirt was pulled out of the archives from how many moons ago I can’t remember. I love this marigold shade of yellow! It is by far one of my favorites it is such a flattering color on just about anyone.

I paired it with the rose gold shorts from a few collections back which is still one of my favorite fabrics. It is a neutral but, textured so adds an interesting visual layer to a look. If you are shy about prints to your wardrobe adding texture is a great way to add depth to your look. Even when you are wearing all black it makes the look more interesting with different textures layered in. Pleated, smocked or shirred, ribbed, lace and wool are just a few examples of textured fabric.

This fabric is crushed velvet which is a technique as the name suggests used to press or “crush” the fabric in a pattern with a machine or by twisting the pile in different directions. The appearance becomes patterned and shiny, giving the material a unique texture. I also love that it picks up light and other colors that you wear with it in different ways so that it appears to be different colors.

I stayed in the warm toasty colors for the accessories and a pop of spring garden with the print of the fanny. I bought this fanny a ways back vintage from the 80s early 90s I believe. I found it on Etsy and fell in love with the print. These gorgeous earrings are made of sea shells and the sunglasses have that 80s vintage light brown with little pops of gold throughout.
