Vegan Leather High Waist Trousers
These are by far my favorite pants at the moment. I love that they are vegan leather and the paper waistband is to die for. My style philosophy is maximizing your wardrobe. I do not believe in wearing or having to have a new outfit for every occasion. Living in a social media world you may feel the pressure have a different look for every photo but, let me tell you it’s not worth the stress or resources. The average person only wears 20% of their wardrobe and yes that applies to people with massive closets as well.
I have started a new series Two Looks One Day in Closet Candice to show you just how easy it is to take pieces and transition them through your day. It saves you time and the stress of putting multiple outfits together. My schedule varies from day to day and I don’t usually ever have time to completely change my look multiple times a day. I may start off with running around picking up items for clients to dance class to (now that things are open) to an evening out and I am not about to carry around or worry about three different outfits to wear. I like to think about my day and my looks as layers just like you would for weather. Am I going to be running around for most of it or will I be working on the computer all day.
You can start training your eye to look at the pieces in your closet beyond what they are categorized as. For example leather pants you may think are only for an evening event or rock stars but, with a few quick changes, they can go from a casual day look to evening in a flash.
This look the staple of the outfit is the pants for the daytime business casual look I paired it with cute platform sneakers, t shirt, and pink blazer allowing me to be comfortable and chic whether for a client meeting or working at home. I pulled the yellow from the shirt and focused on that my accessories. I mean these lemon earrings DEAD! Now I must say I would jam this daytime outfit as is to a lot of different evening events. For instance if I had a networking event, book club, dinner with friends and feel amazing and pulled together in this look.
For the evening look I was inspired by the yellow and carried that through with this jacket I melt for and Versace crop tank. I was definitely feeling a little Romy + Michelle’s High School Reunion with this look, one of my fave movies. I was feeling blue for the accessories because, when I found these Guiseppi Zanotti cobalt blue platforms I was sold. So the color pallet for these looks is pink, white, blue, and yellow.
When build a look or multiple looks to wear in a day I like to have a color pallet in mind to start. That gives me a solid base to work with and makes it easier to mix prints and textures. I will also show you how to style these looks into an entire week of outfits.
