Floral For Spring

Having a go to dress that you can wear to multiple different events is a must! You really don’t need a new dress for every single different event. When you are looking for a dress first thing, you want take in account what and how many events you have to wear it to. Do you have a few weddings, graduation, and a bar mitzvah on the calendar? Are they casual, cocktail, semi formal ect?

Second thing is the silhouette of the dress. Can you layer it with other pieces to change the look or is a more a statement piece? For example if you choose a dress with giant balloon sleeves you will have a harder time layering jackets, sweater, blazers ect over them which will limit the look count. Thirdly, keep in mind the color and print. Choose something that you can mix in with pieces you already own. You want to start training your eye to start building outfits with the new pieces you are looking at potentially buying. This will save you so much time and space in the long run. There is nothing wrong with buying unique pieces to add to your wardrobe but, the goal is to build and maximize your wardrobe.

This dress makes me want to tip toe through the tulips and smell the roses all day! This cotton silk lined asymmetrical from Markarian ticks all of my spring events boxes. The print is bold yet subtle and the shape of the dress I can layer a lot of different pieces over it to create new looks. For example I could put an aline skirt over the bottom or sweater over the top to give the illusion it of it being different pieces. A little fashion trick on most dresses you can tuck the top of the dress in like a shirt allowing you to wear it as as a skirt! I hope you have a beautiful day and I am sending you lots of love!

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
