Rainbow Athletics
Sometimes I find clothing that I feel like was made for me and this is one of those times. I was looking for an athletic look and finding lot’s of cute stuff but, them this sports tank popped up and all I could think is PLEASE have matching pants! I love Saks Fifth Avenue they post pre order items and have such a good selection of designer fashion. I love everything about this I mean just looking at this makes happy and want to do cartwheels. You know it’s harder then you would think finding denim trench coats lol but, Coach hit the mark with this one. I may have to buy this whole outfit or find rainbow print fabric! This would definitely be in high rotation in my closet.
My daily uniform definitely leans towards athletic business , contrary to what most people believe because, I am a stylist. Fashion and style is like anything else in the world there is soooo much behind the scenes that you don’t see. That means I need to be comfortable and put together so, I can physically operate at that the levels I do. It has always been a priority to me fining the balance of chic and comfort which has been a driving force in what I do. Feeling put together and functional. I love getting dressed up to the nines in high heels and tighter fitting outfits but, the reality is that’s not the daily.
It all depends on what your lifestyle is if you work at a law firm you most likely have a lot of suits in rotation or if you work on a farm overalls are probably your daily uniform. I believe our clothes should empower us and be functional. I had a job once at the Body Shop and we had to wear all black. I mean I might as well been working at a funeral home in my book. I even got in trouble for wearing a red sweater over my outfit because, it was always chilly and didn’t have any black sweaters or jackets. So for me I would wear lot’s of color wear I could my hair, makeup, nails, and underpinnings. It’s amazing how fashion and color can impact us. I wasn’t there for that long but, I knew and all black dress code anywhere was not a career make for me.
If you are in a position of needing to wear a uniform for work ect and feel stifled by it look at the other ways you can added your personal touch. Whether that be through accessories or beauty elements play around and make it yours!
