Pink Shadows

I love rompers! They’re so comfortable and cute at the same time.  This was the last piece I was able to get out of the pink and orange plaid! I am still obsessed with anything off the shoulder anything right now. I love this fabric it is so lightweight and breathable. I love plaid but, sewing it can be tricky lining everything up. This fabric was actually two layers so it was a little sticky laying out the fabric so, I was pleased when most of the seams lined up lol. I love things to be “perfect” but, I have never been one to get caught up on the imperfections. I mean you really have to options redo it or make it work learn from it and move on. The reality is most of them, in the partial words of Bob Ross, really are happy fucking accidents. I can count only a few devastating have to redo sewing fatalities in my life. And really the same goes for life! I mean most things in life are happy accidents!

The day was really nice but, I got a late start to shooting so, by the time I headed out the afternoon wind had started ripping through.  There were lots of clouds in the sky so the light was rapidly changing but, it was really fun to work with.  One thing about shooting your own photos is you really have to prepared to work with the elements at hand. I usually take two photos or so for each pose when the light is moving like this. That way I usually end up with one more shaded and the other with more exposure.

I drive by this house all the time on my way to hike at Mclaren Park. It is one of those perfect on the corner houses with lots of different textures to work with! I originally thought I wanted to do more of an orangeish color but, this pink house popped to mind. I am glad it did because, it was perfect and all of the shadows from the trees in that day’s light was fabulous. This one also had a camera so they got a full modeling show.

I was going for more of an earthy jam in the accessories with this look. These wedges are one of my favorite pairs of shoes. I love the orange braiding detail and they are fairly comfortable to wear for longer spells and they pair well with a lot of different looks in my closet. This belt I die for the color and I was super excited to pull it out for this romper. Topping it off with my seashell earrings and rose gold reflective shades. Sunglasses are one of my favorite things to shop for I never leave the house with a pair of shades. I love this fabric because it’s so summer picnic vibe but flows into fall perfectly. I can’t believe it is already the pumpkin time of year!

It was a fun afternoon of shooting this look playing around with the light. The colors and texture of this house were perfect for this look. I was feeling very Barbie in this whole jam! I love how everything falls together as long as I don’t stand in the way!
