Pink Convertible
Another top from the archives that I absolutely love is this turquoise draped neckline gem. It has sort of a dolman top sort of feel. The sleeves are ruffly and one piece with the bodice. So they are very open and you don’t have to be but, I layer it with something underneath because you have a good view any time you move your arms. I love that you can wear it centered at the neckline or draped off the shoulder as I am wearing it here.
I paired it with the pink stretch trousers which I love, even more, if they were high waist but, love them nonetheless. They are a lightweight stretch almost a cotton sateen so, they have a slight shimmer to them. The pink and turquoise were the base color pallet and worked off that for the accessories. I always think of tire tracks when I see this Betsey Johnson satchel. I love the use of stripes and prints with the strip of arrows.
Any easy way to mix prints is going with a geometric pattern and anything floral. It doesn’t have to be the traditional stripes and floral it could be circles, triangles, or rectangles really any shape you like and layering on a complimentary floral type print. You can really go all out mixing your patterns the most important thing is to have a common thread that ties everything together.
Color is the easiest way to do that. The pink and blue are the common thread with all of these patterns. I used the rainbow leopard crop tank to layer underneath the top which has blue, green, pink, and black. So it looks great next to the turquoise and pink. The satchel pulling in the pink, green, and black elements. And finally, the pineapple print wedges finishing it off with the green, blue, and black. For the sunglasses and earrings staying in the blue and green color jam. Heart sunglasses are one of my favorite shapes I think I have about seven pairs, these I call my heart aviators.
These earrings I love but, they are heavy so, I don’t wear them all the time. Wearing earrings every day overtime stretches our earlobes so, I stick to lightweight pairs for most of my daily earrings. My favorite kinds are giant ones that are lightweight, it’s the best of both worlds for me. These ones are so pretty though they are like ironwork flowers, maybe literally because that’s how heavy they are lol.
