Sissy That Walk
I die for this artist Serge Gay Jr. I was first introduced to his work at an art show hosted by Strut. Oh how do I miss their art events and can’t wait until we can go in person. They are so fun the first Friday of the month they have a show with Bay Area artists with wine and snacks and amazing art. I was so excited to find another Juanita More mural this one is located at Lush Lounge on Polk street.
I love the creative flow I mean this fabric was made to be shot in front of these murals! For this look I have created a new off the shoulder crop inspired all of this warm weather we are having. I am working on a ruffle version of his one as well stay tuned. I made matching scrunchies out of the scraps and bonus made Son a cute neck scrunchie to match. This is about as far as I can go to “dressing” him up he hates wearing t shirts or cute little sweaters so, we make neck candy.
This was a really fun shoot it was sort of weird because, I haven’t been over to Polk street in a really long spell. And I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to see that much has stayed the same! This may make me sound old but, so many times I hardly recognize neighborhoods and think shit how long has it been since I was over here. It was a fun shoot there was a lot of hectic happenings all around me but, it was really quiet where the mural was. I love shooting with Son even though it can be more work especially if I forget the treats which I did today but, it is worth it. I feel so blessed to be able to work on my own schedule and be with my dogs.
