Valentine's Day Inspired Looks

It’s that time of the year when the flowers start blooming and love is in the air! The weather here has been over the top amazing it has been in the 70s for days in a row and the trees are starting to blossom signs of spring straight ahead. Even the breeze this morning was warm!

My favorite thing about love month is the color pallet hands down - lol! I had a lot of fun creating these love day inspired looks. When I found this pink satin suit I almost passed out from pure joy! Did someone say power suit? What I love about a satin finish is the lushness of it. I think people shy away from satin for day because, the fabric is associated with evening and black tie ball gowns but, you can most definitely rock this during the day.

Even if you do not have a job that requires a two piece suit I think it is a staple element that should be in everyone’s closet. They are so versatile and can be dressed up down. I mean you can be wearing a matching sweat set and throw your cute blazer over it suddenly you have a polished look in seconds. Throw the trousers on with a cute statement tee and platform sneakers and you ready for an afternoon of meetings or meandering around the museum.

This light pink linen Alice + Olivia jumpsuit makes my heart sing. I wanted to go with the more traditional valentines pink and red. I love how they make each other pop the ruby red layered on the blush pink. I wanted the accessories to have more of an industrial sharper feel in contrast to lighter romantic lightweight linen jumpsuit.

When I first saw this Marchesa Notte dress I imagined myself doing the tango twirling these ruffles into submission. I actually was going with a different color scheme for the accessories originally. I found these beautiful royal blue velvet heels (that I will be using in a different look to come) but, the polka dots kept calling my name. I found this vegan polka dot heart shaped Kate Spade bag that shot me to the moon. Firstly, I was so excited it was was polka dot and heart shaped and secondly, it was vegan!

Whatever you Valentine’s Day plans are I hope you find inspiration from these looks. You can shop all the looks below. I am sending you lots love whooshes.
