Ethical Inspiration

Fashion and the beauty industry are two of the largest waste contributors in the world. So I am all about finding and supporting brands who are working to make a change. 85% of out clothes end up in the landfill YES 85% pretty mind blowing. The beauty industry creates 120 billion units of packaging every year, making it the number one offender in plastic waste pollution in the world. It really makes you think!

So when my friend Patricia, the owner of Tap Tap Organics loves my outfit posts asked me if I would create one for tap I said yes! It is female owned and the only clean skincare line to use wild-harvested, virgin coconut oil from Costa Rica. They also use high quality plant-based ingredients that are sustainably sourced from Central and South America. So it is good for your skin and good for the environment, I mean double yay!

This was a really fun project I am always looking for sustainable, ethical, and vegan fashion and beauty brands. It really is exciting how many amazing new things are coming down the pipeline I mean the things they are able to do! So when I was perusing eco brands I came across a lot the first one to ring my bell is Mara Hoffman. They use recycled materials, reduce their manufacturing carbon footprint, and have a full circle market place where you can sell and buy vintage pieces to keep them out of the landfill.

I was going for a tropical vacation vibe versatile pieces that travel easy. Mara Hoffman ticked all of the boxes. The beautiful shapes and patterning in a array of colors and patterns. I had so much fun putting together outfits from this collection! I paired them up with some of my favorite Tap Tap products. These three looks could be mixed and matched for a whole vacation’s worth of looks. Even if you are not heading to the tropics this moment doesn’t mean you can’t dress like it!
